Telugu movie releases for Diwali 2012 : Thuppakki, Damarukam

Diwali is one of the most important festivals in India and the movies getting released on this festive season are big, extravagant and are in high expectations from the film buffs and big film stars are all eying this holiday season for a great show and a huge box office collection.

For Diwali 2012, in Tollywood, many movies were planned to be released, but after a lot of rescheduling and postponement, now it is finalized that the Diwali season would witness two big films – one Vijay’s “Thuppakki” and another Nagarjuna’s “Damarukam”.

Now,for a brief look at both these big movies:

Thuppakki


Thuppakki is a Telugu action thriller film directed and written by A. R. Murugadoss. The film stars Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. And the supporting roles are played by Jayaram, Sathyan, Vidyut Jamwal, Akshara Gowda and Gautham Kurup.

The story revolves around a youth from a Tamil family based in Mumbai. Kajal Aggarwal plays a boxer in the film. The sudden change that happens in the hero’s life is the main turning part in the story and the remaining part of the film is about the decision he takes to handle the crisis.

Thuppaki releases both in Telugu and Tamil on November 13, exactly on Diwali day.

Damarukam


Damarukam is a socio-fantasy flick, starring Nagarjuna in the role of Mallikarjuna where Anushka Shetty does the lead lady role. Ravi Shankar, dubbing artist plays the supernatural villain role in this movie. Prakash Raj and Ravi Shankar play key roles in the movie.

Previously, Damarukam was scheduled to release on Nov 9, but latest reports say the movie releases on Nov 10.

RR Movie Makers say Damarukam is the costliest film till date. Nagarjuna said the last 35 minutes will give a stunning movie-watching experience and movie is entirely packed with graphical extravagance.
